Servicing & Maintenance
The new MCS040 Biomass Maintenance Standard, which came into effect from 1 April 2022 requires all recipients of RHI payments to ensure that their biomass boilers are being serviced by a competent servicing business. This scheme is being managed by HETAS, under the name “HETAS Approved Biomass Maintenance Scheme” (or HABMS for short).

Our Servicing and Maintenance services are designed ensure that biomass systems achieve maximum availability, optimum efficiency and an extended life time.
We have engineers trained on many of the usual biomass boiler systems installed in UK. Our biomass boiler service contracts currently include boilers from 40kW to 3MW and cover simple stoker and underfed systems to large ram stoker step grate furnaces and steam boilers. Our servicing capability includes sourcing replacement parts for most boilers and meet conditions of manufacturer warranties.
Our Services Contracts range from basic annual servicing to full comprehensive management contracts with availability and efficiency guarantees and extended warranties.
Our Management Service contracts provide preventative maintenance, fuel monitoring and supply, RHI meter submissions, and managing all compliance requirements.
Depending on service level we can also provide two levels of response service to unplanned boiler shut downs:
- Working Hours Response Service – 8:30 to 17:30 (Monday to Friday) call line with 4 hours response time for remote diagnosis and 24 hours for on-site engineer response
- 24/7 Response Service– 24 hour call line with an emergency 4 hours on-site engineer response
